Anthony David Gonzalez is a ex- American football tightener, who played in the National Football League for 17 seasons. Gonzalez is considered to be among the greatest tight ends of all time. Additionally, he was the NFL's leader for receiving yards, as well as the third-highest total of receptions, Gonzalez was also one of the NFL tight end with the highest number of receptions.

Gonzalez's assertion that he would retire from the NFL after the year 2013 wasn't true. On March 15 2013, Gonzalez agreed to sign with the Falcons the two-year deal worth $14,000,000. Randy Moss' retirement meant that Gonzalez was the NFL's leader in active yards recieving his final season.
